I just got my website running.
At first, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it, but this feels right. I’m going to keep working on it, adding things, experimenting — and maybe it’ll turn into something.

Welcome to my new site, Melarky.
Yeah, I know the name is a little weird — it’s my parents’ names mixed together. They used to have a blog called Melarky years ago. It wasn’t huge, but it was a small and necessary part of their lives.
My dad, when he was young, started a company with his friend (Chris Russell). They went on to build a company called WestHost, and my dad designed their front pages for several years. He eventually left after the company was acquired by new owners.
I think I picked up his passion for websites somewhere along the way. Now I want to build my own. I was taught by my father — I’ll leave his name out — but this site exists because of that influence.
